How does your process work?

The process will differ depending on which service you get, but all 1-on-1 services are coaching based and customized to fit your unique background and situation.

In the Resume Transformation Program, I will create a new resume for you that directly targets your new career field, showcases your unique value, and highlights your most important transferrable skills.

We’ll collaborate together along the way to develop your unique value proposition as it relates to your new target career, recreate your professional brand, overhaul your job descriptions to use relevant language and keywords, and identify your major career ‘wins’ to showcase in your resume.

With each new resume, I do independent research into the types of jobs you’ll be pursuing in order to understand the most relevant keywords being used in those job postings. This helps me to best match the skills and experience on your resume with what is being asked for out in the field.

Aside from the initial Q&A call and the resume review call (which are both optional based on your comfort level and needs), we’ll have 2 in-depth calls to discuss your career history, strengths, and goals. 

• In the first call, we’ll talk about your current situation, the target jobs you want to pursue, and the major strengths and skills you have toward those types of jobs. 
• After that call, I’ll write the profile/summary section of your resume and send it over to you for review. You’ll be able to ask questions and request any changes you’d like. 
• Then we’ll schedule the 2nd call to discuss your career history and the major responsibilities and achievements involved in each role. 
• Depending on the depth and complexity of your career experience, we may schedule a 3rd call to ensure we have time to discuss the full value of your background.
• After the final call, I’ll complete the first draft of your resume and send it over to you for review. 

Once the new first draft is completed, you’ll have ample opportunity to review it, ask questions, and/or request additional revisions. There is no set limit to the number of revisions you’re allowed. You and I will work collaboratively to make sure the final product is something that represents you well, showcases your strengths, and gives you confidence in your job search.

At the end of this program, you’ll have a brand-new, expert-written resume that is laser-focused toward your career target and gives you the confidence you need to shift into a role that makes you happy.
